With a €500,000 budget, the Pacha Foundation is set to deliver more than 35 programs that put community, culture, sport, and the environment at the center of Ibiza’s year.

The Pacha Foundation is getting ready to roll out a long list of initiatives that shape Ibiza’s year ahead, backed by a record €500,000 budget. The Foundation, established in 2018 as a private nonprofit, has become a steadfast leader in environmental stewardship, advocating for biodiversity, minimizing environmental impacts, and promoting ecosystem resilience across land and sea.

Now, with a budget increased by 430% since 2023, the nonprofit has unveiled an ambitious plan that focuses on community well-being, public culture, sport that brings people together, and environmental projects that make a visible difference from the port to the shoreline.

Culture gets a spot on the mainstage in the heart of town, with concerts planned for the port and Vara de Rey. The goal, simple and effective, is to celebrate local talent, invite everyone in, and turn public squares into shared cultural spaces. Added support for Ibiza’s community centers and youth clubs, along with a plan to host international events such as marathons and cycling races, aims to bring residents together and showcase the island’s endurance.

Environmental stewardship is built into the plan. Urban greening will soften the hard edges across the city, youth programs in marine conservation will empower young people to take on leadership roles and responsibilities, and smart recycling points will meet people where they are to make better habits easier. Social impact initiatives, including healthcare grants that will target at-risk children and families and widen access to services that support inclusion and rehabilitation, are also a key focus.

The Pacha Foundation is committed to fostering a vibrant, resilient Ibiza, where community, culture, and conservation thrive together. This 2025 plan reflects our dedication to strengthening the island’s legacy for future generations.

Kabir Mulchandani, President of the Pacha Foundation

While the majority of headlines about Ibiza pertain to its history and reputation as the mecca of dance music, this news is incredibly important for a place where masses are streaming in and out of the country for months on end. The island, which welcomed over 32 million visitors in 2024, has a community of people who call it home year-round. Making it a place that is livable and fair is just as important as upkeeping its bustling tourist economy.

Strategic oversight for 2025 is led by President Kabir Mulchandani, with Managing Directors Josep Antoni Escandell and Mashenka Anand, and Trustees Alba Pau, Maria Luisa Cava de Llanos, and David Samuel Shepley.

If you live in Ibiza, work in hospitality, or simply care about the island, there are plenty of entry points, whether it’s by attending the public concerts, volunteering with youth and environmental programs, or supporting athletic events that directly fund community initiatives.
